BACKGROUND: Akane is actually the original genetic creation, engineered by Sigma and Robotnik before the failed Creation #1 Rayne. Born from an alteration of Amy Rose's cells, she is less powerful than Akuma and Vile, but still very dangerous. She remains one of the true loyal members of the Sigma Brotherhood.  Despite her cold-blooded and ruthless nature, deep down she has developed strong feelings for Vile.  Even knowing he was engineered to be without compassion or desire, she hopes that one day her feelings can somehow be returned.
