BACKGROUND: During the Brotherhood's assault on Metropolis, Takile set out to replace his 3 fallen commanders with new ones. Seeking out the easily swayed, he corrupted Amy Rose and then turned to Taka's former girlfriend, Mai Suzuki. Morphing into the form of Taka himself, he brought out Mai's lust and desire and used it as fuel to corrupt her body with a combination of Dark and Nega energy. Dark Mai was created, and she immediately proved her worth by bringing the Dragon Emerald to the Death Eye, triggering Sigma's revival. In the years that followed, she and Takile had a son, named Tajin.
