BACKGROUND: Jyles was the father of Taka and Talia Kumishiro, the uncle of Sonic, and the brother of Jules Kumishiro. He was a very powerful warrior in the Acorn Kingdom's army along with his brothers Jules and Charles, and during a scouting trip to Central City, he met his future wife Adelita Nakashima. Building a house for his new family in West City, Jyles enjoyed a short period of peace with his wife and their young children Taka and Talia. When the Great War broke out, Jyles headed to battle and was sadly killed during the conflict. He is buried next to his home in West City, where Alita and Talia still reside. His son Taka is essentially following in his footsteps, having become a warrior loyal to defending Mobius from villainous forces.
