BACKGROUND: When Key was young, she was captured by a squad of Robotnik's badniks and taken to be roboticized. Ash and Red were able to rescue her before she became a complete machine, but her right arm had already been fused into an adaptable arm cannon. She vows to take revenge on Robotnik one day.  She is close friends with Trance, and serves as another voice of common sense for the goofy Korringwood crew.  Thanks to a rather involved past with both Ash and Sakura, she has an uneasy friendship with the two, and normally mouths off against the more fiesty Sakura.  She is very down-to-mobius when compared to her friends, and often has to bring them back to reality once they fly off on their tangents.  She has a long-standing interest in Shadow, and they shared a brief fling during the Korringwood crew's first visit to Knothole.  In the original timeline, she and Shadow restarted their relationship, having a daughter named Hikaru Makibi.  In this timeline, Key was killed in a raid, leaving Shadow to raise Hikki within the Resistance on his own.  In the altered timeline, Key finds her thoughts consistently drifting back to Shadow.
