NAME: The Master Emerald
FORMER POWERS: Controls the energies of the 7 Chaos Emeralds, keeps Angel Island afloat in the sky.
BACKGROUND: The Master Emerald of Angel Island was safely protected on Angel Island, but when Sigma made his first attack, Knuckles made a decision he would later regret. Without the Chaos Emeralds, none of the heroes could power into super form, and in order to defeat Sigma they needed Super Sonic. Knuckles took the Master Emerald to the Hidden Reef, and Sonic used it in a one-shot attempt to power to his super level. By doing so, the Master Emerald's power was drained, as it had never before been used to power a person's ki. 1 year later, the lifeless Master Emerald sits atop its shrine on Angel Island, which no longer floats in the sky.
