BACKGROUND: Sakura's past remains a mystery even to her. When Taka found her in Korringwood, she had amnesia and couldn't remember how she got there. Since then, she has considered Taka her brother, as he is the closest thing to family she has ever known.  Spending her younger days mostly with her guy friends Taka, Ash, Red, and Trance, she identified more with them than Mai or any of the other girls, becoming a clear tomboy, and later even suffered with Gender Identity issues, preferring to dress and be known as a male named "Sam" for roughly a year.  Without a doubt the "mouth" of the bunch, her nasty temper and foul language often lands her in hot water.  She is also a formidable fighter in super form, substantially more powerful than Amy and slightly above Kari's level.  Her extreme personality often irritates and tests the patience of her friends, most notably Ash, Key, and Dan.  She pushes her sarcastic humor to the limit, frequently breaking the point of direct insult, and she is the last one to apologize for a hurting insult, however intentional or unintentional.  It has been revealed that she and Ash were together, and very close, when they were teenagers, but something has left animosity between them in the current day, as well as a large amount of animosity between her and Key, which is progressively getting worse due to Sakura's recent confrontational attitudes.
