BACKGROUND: Trance was a mercenary from the Mobian continent of Eriador when he took a job hunting down a creature in Korringwood. It turned out that the creature was actually Red, and when Trance had him in his grasp, Taka interveened and overpowered him. Since then, Trance has remained with the crew to try and prove his superiority to Taka, whom he considers his rival.  Close friends with Keyoni and Dan, he consistently proves himself to be one of the more honorable warriors on Mobius.  His brother House, who still lives in Eriador, frequently sends him new legendary swords for his growing collection.  After recieving a set of books and films entitled "Lord of the Rings" from an Anomaly Rift in Korringwood, Trance became obsessed with anything having to do with Middle-Earth, and started his long-running tendency to spew out quotes and phrases from Tolkien's writing.  This has tested the patience of everyone he knows, except for Ayona, who still doesn't know what he's talking about.  He has a confrontational personality, and he often intentionally irritates those he knows in the hopes to start a fight.
